Today ,we go to the Amazon, in the heart of the largest rainforest in the world for a change of scenery. I advise you to stay two days full in this area to discover the wonders of this region.

The first day, stroll in the largest city in the Amazon: Manaus

This port city is alive with fishing and merchant of fruits and vegetables. The colors blend, you will find the food we eat, but you will also find typical local products.

To have a beautiful view, go to the mercado municipal Adolpho Lisboa where you can smell, taste, see the Amazon!

Established in section, you can see different species of fish available, including the legendary piranha but see also cod. Sensitive soul, the smell is strong and hot!

I suggest you to try the Brazil nuts, which looks like to the hazelnut. It is consumed as an aperitif ,salted and grilled or as dessert. The nuts have selenium that fight against aging and prevents cancer. Amazonians consume every day, it is recommended to only take one a day if not these effects are reversed.

Another local specialty :  guarana

This plant is consumed by the Amazonians as boost! It has virtues of energy and fat burner. A teaspoon of coffee is enough to produce effects. Over-consumption can lead to heart palpitations.

Amazonians fond of Tucuma, this fibrous fruit has outstanding virtues: it protects the skin, it prolongs the tan, it’s anti-oxidant and ideal for dry hair.

For this two days , where can we sleep?

I stayed at Lord Manaus Hotel. This old hotel has the particularity to be very placed : near the port, near the market, near shops.

At breakfast, we are offered a tapioca cake made ​​from cassava. To make less dry cake, enjoy it with a slice of pineapple, just divine to start the day.

Aujourd’hui je vous emmène en Amazonie , au coeur de la plus grande forêt équatoriale du monde pour un dépaysement total. Je vous conseille de rester 2 jours plein dans cette région pour découvrir les richesses de cette région.

Le premier jour , baladez-vous dans la plus grande ville d’Amazonie : Manaus

Cette ville portuaire vit au rythme de la pêche et des marchands de fruits et légumes. Les couleurs se mélangent ,vous retrouverez des aliments que nous consommons mais vous découvrirez également des produits typiquement locaux .

Pour avoir un très bel aperçu , direction
le mercado municipal Adolpho Lisboa où vous pourrez sentir , goûter , voir l’Amazonie !

Créé en section , vous pourrez observer les différentes espèces de poissons proposées , notamment le légendaire piranha mais aussi la morue. Ame sensible , l’odeur y est forte et chaude !

Je vous conseille de goûter à la noix d’Amazonie , qui ressemble à la noisette. Elle se consomme en apéro sous forme salée et grillée ou en dessert. Cette noix possède du sélénium qui lutte contre le vieillissement et prévient du cancer. Les Amazoniens en consomment tous les jours, il est recommandé d’en prendre seulement une par jour sinon ces effets seront inversés.

Le deuxième jour prenez le large , direction la forêt amazonienne.

Depuis le bateau vous verrez une autre ville , plus maritime , portuaire avec ses favelas qui jalonnent la côte.

Après 1h de navigation , nous apercevons une différence de couleur de l’eau. Qu’est-ce que c’est ?

Si le coeur vous en dit , vous pouvez pêcher à la manière des amazoniens , qui sait peut-être ferez-vous une touche comme moi? J’ai pu observer de près mon piranha avec des écailles argentés et ses dents pointues.

Découvrir l’Amazonie , c’est aussi l’observer la nuit ! Alors attendez que le soleil se couche et admirez le paysage qui s’offrent à vos yeux. Vous êtes seuls au monde.

Durant cette pause , dégustez un jus d’acerola proposé sur le bateau. Cette plante a des effets anti-fatigue.

Accompagné ce jus de  la chérimolle. Attention les graines sont toxiques !

Avec un peu de chance , vous pourrez peut-être croiser ce genre de caïman.La pêche aux caïmans fait partie des coutumes locales. La technique ? Les crocodiles sont hypnotisés pour la lumière dans leurs yeux.

Pour ses deux jours , où dormir ?

J’ai séjourné au Lord Manaus Hôtel . Ce vieil hôtel , a la particularité d’être très bien situé : près du port , près du marché , près des boutiques.

Au petit-déjeuner , on nous propose une galette de tapioca fabriquée à partir de manioc. Pou rendre la galette moins sèche, dégustez-la avec une tranche d’ananas, juste divin pour commencer la journée.
